Michigan Wilderness Overnight for Women

This overnight event in Michigan will help build skills and feel more confident in the outdoors! Learn how to build a shelter, find clean water, practice fire making, discuss survival psychology and learn about survival kits! Skill share is encouraged. Location directions provided

About The Event

Cost to attend is by donation. Please email your donation through PayPal to: upon registration. (Suggested donation $100 or more.) Event limited to 7 women. No equipment, shelter, clothing, tools, food or beverage will be provided. Please bring your own or plan to share with a friend. Expect to learn new skills and gain confidence in the outdoors! Comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear is advised. We will be spending all of our time outside in the woods so dress accordingly. Bring your own tent, bivy, hammock, (or plan on sleeping in a shelter you make), sleeping bag, ground pad, etc. for sleeping. Please also provide your own food/drink for the duration. Bring a stove for cooking or plan on cooking your food over the fire. There will not be an outhouse- be prepared for primitive bathroom techniques (bring your own TP and toiletries as needed). Please be prepared with clothing for any weather conditions, including rain gear. Bring your own knife, ax, ferro rod, or other tools as you wish. Feel free to bring some fish hooks and line with appropriate fishing license if you'd like to fish. (We will try primitive fishing techniques.) We will be hiking a short distance to the location. (Less than 1/2 mile.) Water will need to be filtered or boiled on site, so bring a filter or pot. Upon registration, a location meet-up with directions will be provided and we will all travel to the location. If you have any questions please feel free to email me!
